The ecoTEC exclusive green IQ 843 is a combi gas boiler that is condensing and wall-mounted. This boiler is manufactured by Vaillant and is an extremely reliable unit with an output of 43kW.

The Green IQ range has been designed by Vaillant with efficiency in mind. They boast an efficiency of 94% and ErP A-rating for heating and hot water, which means that this boiler could help to significantly lower your energy.

A central heating output of 36 kW means that the Vaillant Green IQ 843 is well suited to properties with up to 20 radiators.

The Vaillant Green IQ range includes two combi boilers and a system boiler. In addition to this 43-kW model, there’s also a 35 kW combi and 27 kW system boiler.

Combi boilers are single cost-effective units that provide heating and hot water on demand so there’s no need for any external tanks or cylinders. While this is great news for smaller homes or properties with limited room, it does mean that they’re unable to meet the high demand for central heating and hot water.

Vaillant has attached a 5-year warranty as standard to their Green IQ boilers but this can be extended to 7-10 years when installed by a Vaillant Advance installer.

This is Vaillant’s first-ever boiler with the power of green IQ technology, combining a complete range of smart technologies and features, so you can be sure that you are getting a highly efficient boiler. Great performance is guaranteed as it’s able to intelligently manage consumption and output, keeping its components running at peak performance for longer, as well as providing a low maintenance solution that you can rely on.

It comes with extra condense technology and a single system boiler, including an integrated diverter valve, which is the first-ever in Vaillant history. It also comes with a wide modulation range of up to 1:10 helping it to adapt to all systems in every situation, ensuring you have the lowest fuel bills and a high flow rate of 17.8 l/min. This boiler always reaches optimal combustion with low emissions, this is done through its self-adaptive system that can automatically adjust to all types of gas. As well as all these benefits it also comes with an extra condense heat exchanger – taking the combi boiler efficiency to the next level and almost eliminating plume in DHW mode.

BUYING GUIDE- Vaillant ecoTEC Exclusive Green iQ Boilers

Given below is a detailed guide on Vaillant ecoTEC Exclusive Green iQ Boilers:

Getting a Competitive Boiler Quote

We recommend you get a few quotes to find the best boiler price. For instance, get a free quote from a national installer and compare it with one from a local boiler installer. Also, ensure your engineer is Gas Safe Registered.

What We Think of the Valliant ecoTEC Exclusive

There are two models in this range and both offer quite powerful heat ratings. The first one comes in at 32kW and the second at 38kW. They are Combi boilers, which means that they generate hot water for the taps on-demand, as well as sending hot water to the radiators. The advantage with this is that the system can be a lot smaller, as there is no hot water storage tank, cold water cistern, or expansion tank. This saves a great deal of space. Both boilers can run on natural gas, or LPG if you are not connected to the mains supply. Their heat output means they can cope with a medium-sized semi-detached house, even one with an en-suite bathroom. As for the hot water flow rate, the smallest can achieve just under 13 litres per minute, whilst the larger one can boost that figure to 15.2 litres per minute. The boilers are suitable for wall mounting and at 44kg, they are not by any means the lightest, but they do have the power. The controls are well set out and comprehensive.

Is the Vaillant ecoTEC Exclusive Green iQ Combi the Right Boiler Type and Size for Your Home?

If you live in a medium or large house with multiple bathrooms and want a boiler that boasts incredible hot water performance, the Vaillant ecoTEC Exclusive is a great option. You don’t even need a cold-water storage tank or hot water cylinder with this boiler, making it ideal for homes with limited storage space. And since it has a 1:10 modulation ratio, it’s perfectly suitable for a wide range of property types. Having said that, this boiler won’t be the best solution for some larger homes so don’t forget to ask a Gas Safe engineer to assess your heating and hot water usage habits before purchasing this model.

ecoTEC Exclusive Green iQ Combi Technology and Main Advantages

Valliant’s ecoTEC Exclusive features a clear digital display to make boiler management and choosing the right temperature super easy. It also comes with user-friendly controls, all of which are hidden behind a down flap to ensure young children can’t get their hands-on buttons and dials.

The boiler has an impressive modulation of 1:10, meaning it can reduce its output to give you the exact amount of power needed to ensure you never waste energy. Put simply, if you require only 20kW, the boiler will adapt itself accordingly. Then there’s the Green iQ mode that optimises running cycles to help lower gas consumption.

In addition to all of those features and benefits, the boiler can work with LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) where required and has its extra-condense heat exchanger for greater efficiency, performance and energy savings.

Boiler Energy Efficiency Credentials

This combination boiler by Vaillant is 94% efficient and utilises innovative technology to help you manage your gas consumption and reduce your energy bills. It is an ErP A-rated boiler with a wide modulation range of up to 1:10 and a special Green iQ mode, both of which play their part in maximising efficiency levels and keeping your fuel bills low. You can also add Valliant’s vSMART heating control to the ecoTEC Exclusive to enable this combi to achieve an A+ ErP rating, as well as give yourself the power to control the boiler from your smartphone and other smart devices.

What do Industry Experts have to Say?

Vaillant has announced that its ecoTEC exclusive boiler which features its Green IQ label has been awarded Best Internal / Interior Product at the Housebuilder Product Awards 2018.

Launched in November 2016, the ecoTEC exclusive with Green iQ is the first-ever Vaillant boiler with the power of Green iQ technology, making it the most future proof, a sustainable heating system that achieves the lowest carbon footprint.

Now in their sixth year, the Housebuilder Product Awards 2018 recognise excellence and innovation in the products and services supplied to the housebuilding industry. For housebuilders and the expert judging panel alike, the benefits are obvious, with the ecoTEC exclusive with Green iQ combining Vaillant’s smart technologies with highest performance and efficiency.

The product’s performance comes from intelligently managing consumption and output to keep its components running at peak performance for longer, providing a low maintenance solution. The ecoTEC exclusive range of combination boilers include a 35kW and for the first time a 43kW model suitable for larger new builds with up to three separate bathrooms.

Further to this, the ecoTEC exclusive Green iQ incorporates an all-gas system, which always reaches optimal combustion with the lowest emissions. As a self-adaptive system, it automatically adjusts for variations in gas composition and can be quickly adapted to run on LPG, making it suitable for all new build sites. The extra-condense heat exchanger takes overall combination boiler efficiency to the next level, helping meet building design targets and almost eliminates flue gas plume in domestic hot water delivery mode.

Klause Jesse, UK Managing Director at Vaillant UK, said, “We are delighted that the ecoTEC exclusive with Green iQ has been recognised at these established awards within the new build sector. With such stiff competition across the category, it’s a fantastic result for us and testament to our continued investment in research and development that has delivered such high levels of performance and efficiency”

Winners from each category will form the finalist for the Product of the Year category at the Housebuilder Awards 2018, a prestigious black-tie evening event attended by more than 500 senior housebuilding professionals in the Autumn.

Construction and Material:

We always recommend our appliances are fitted with a Vaillant control. Vaillant has a wide range of controls and each uses eBUS, technology that enables each element of a Vaillant system to communicate to ensure it’s always working with ultimate efficiency.

Vaillant’s controls range from simple analogue controls to app-controlled models that can be integrated with smart home systems and alert you to faults. All of our controls come with load compensation as standard. Every Vaillant heating appliance can be matched with the perfect control to ensure compliance with Boiler Plus legislation.

As well as allowing the user to choose the times their heating and/or hot water switches on or off, controls can set preferred temperature parameters. Controls can also monitor weather conditions in a variety of ways; either by using data from weather forecasts or by using an external sensor. For Vaillant controls, this means the control can take this information and modulate the output of the boiler to deliver the most efficient flow rate to reach the desired temperature. This modulation reduces energy use and carbon outputs that reduce bills while increasing the longevity of the boiler.

timeSWITCH

160 Vaillant digital plug-in controls have been designed to be easy to use. They allow users to choose three heating and hot water time periods over the course of a day. Whilst feeling familiar, they do also offer intelligent functionality via the eBUS language.

VRT 15

VRT 350 / 350f

This elegant and sleek control enables seven days of comfort with three temperature settings throughout the day. This control will modulate your boiler to operate as cost-efficiently as possible. Vaillant programmable thermostat controls have been designed to be easy to use and feel familiar whilst automatically offering advanced functionality. The VRT 350 is available in a wireless model (VRT 350f). The blue backlit screen and plain text display make the VRT 350 easy and clear to understand. Only two push buttons and one rotary dial are needed to select and change data. Plus, when you go on holiday the VRT 350 and VRT 350f have a holiday set-back function, which reduces the temperature in your property and heats it before you come back home.

vSMART

vSMART is a wireless heating and hot water control that is managed via an app, allowing for control from a mobile device, anywhere, anytime. vSMART can be installed in as little as 25 minutes. Quick-fit connections from the gateway wires are fed straight into the boiler, using our intelligent low voltage eBUS connection which requires easily available 0.75mm, 2 core cable. The vSMART room thermostat can be either wall-mounted or free-standing, depending on the homeowner’s preference.

VRC 700 / 700f

Installing Vaillant system solutions has never been so easy! The VRC 700 system control allows you to manage multi-zone heating and hot water systems. The VRC 700 effortlessly ensures your appliances are working to their peak performance and always maintaining optimum efficiency. Stories From The Real-World Use Cases:

https://myboiler.com/case-studies/vaillant-ecotec-exclusive-835-green-iq-combi-boiler-installation/

The main reason for choosing Vaillant and specifically Green IQ was that the client’s father has a Vaillant Ecotec boiler, and they were satisfied with it’s performance. The reason for choosing the Green IQ was that we had explained the extra efficiency benefits of the Green IQ’s passive heat recovery unit, it’s low modulation ratio, it’s “A+ Rated” ability, and it’s design for the internet connectivity and smart controls functions.

Just had installed a Vaillant EcoTec Plus 832 with Smart Control by I.D.S. in the Wirral. This replaced an ageing combi boiler and immediately noticed the difference and mode of operation. Everything is controlled via an app with the possibility of some manual override and noticed that boiler ‘learns’ temperature and daily patterns of use in the house, ultimately, maintaining set temperature throughout the house with a trickle facility at nighttime. Typically, apps fail to perform consistently, but, so far, there have been no problems with the app; a great feature is that you can override temperature and duration before reverting back to scheduled programme. This is handy for example, should you stay up later than the scheduled switch off time at night for example. Very happy with the installation: professional, tidy, polite and was kept informed at all times of the necessary steps taken as it involved an internal twin flue. The combi boiler has a 10 year warranty.

We like the ecoTEC Exclusive’s fabulous performance and sustainability credentials and the fact that the boiler carries the Green iQ mark and has been approved by Quiet Mark. It also happens to be the winner of the Housebuilder Products Awards 2018. Although a little on the expensive side, we think this is one of the best combi boilers out there for mid-size and larger homes.
