Biasi Advance Plus 7 25kW Combi Gas Boiler

Designed and manufactured by Biasi, the Advance Plus 7 is a highly reliable condensing Combi boiler that’s compact in size and can be wall-mounted to help save space around your home.

Biasi has designed the Advance Plus 7 with efficiency in mind, as shown by the 92% efficiency rating, which can help you to save money on your energy bills. An output rating of 25kW makes it the perfect boiler for smaller homes with 1 bathroom that don’t have such an excessive need for heating and hot water. Should your home need a unit more powerful than 25kW, then models with output ratings of 30kW and 35kW are also available. Plus, if a Combi can’t meet those higher hot water demands, then you can also decide to have a Regular or System boiler too.

The Advance Plus 7 houses many features, including cutting edge quad processor technology, a safety lock should an issue with the gas supply be detected, simple-to-use controls, an optional and easy to use 24hr mechanical clock, built-in frost protection to stop the boiler from freezing during the winter and a built-in anti-seizure routine that stops components from seizing up when not in use.

The Advance Plus 7 is a Combi boiler, which means that it supplies hot water and heating on demand by using the mains water supply. Thanks to this, there’s no need for any external parts, such as bulky tanks or a hot water cylinder, making them the perfect choice for smaller homes where space is limited.

Featuring a 7-year warranty, you can install this Biasi boiler with the confidence that you’ll be covered in the unlikely event of something going wrong.

Biasi Advance OV 15kW Regular Gas Boiler

Designed and manufactured by Biasi, the Advance OV 15kW is condensing Regular gas boiler, that’s compact and can be wall-mounted so that it doesn’t take up too much space.

Biasi built Advance OV boilers with efficiency and reliability in mind, which you can see by the efficiency rating of 92% and ErP A rating. With an output rating of 15kW, this Advance OV unit is perfect if you live in a smaller home with 1 bathroom and not such an excessive need for heating or hot water.

In addition to this 15kW model, the Advance OV range also includes boilers with outputs of 18kW and 24kW too, with the option of installing a Combi or System instead of a Regular boiler. So, whether you live in a large home or a small home, there’s an Advance OV boiler for you.

Some of the many features of Advance OV boilers include a small footprint case, installation into traditional fully pumped S and Y plan heating systems, a single coil heat exchanger that is highly efficient (the single coil oval sections allow the system water to flow freely through the heat exchanger, preventing the accumulation of dirt and debris), and built-in weather compensation, which, when installed with the optional temperature probe can allow the boiler to automatically react with the weather outside, helping you to save money on your energy bills.

With this Advance OV unit being a Regular boiler (Heat Only or Conventional too), it needs to be installed as part of a heating system, alongside a hot water storage cylinder a cold water storage tank and a feed and expansion tank. So, if you live in a fairly small home with limited space, then it’s probably not suitable. However, you’ll also find Combi and System boilers in the Biasi Advance OV range which require less additional parts.

The Advance OV 15kW Regular boiler comes with a 5-year warranty to give you the peace of mind that you’re installing an extremely reliable unit for your home.

Biasi Advance OV 18kW Regular Gas Boiler

The Advance OV 18kW is a condensing Regular gas boiler that has been designed and manufactured by Biasi and thanks to its compact size, is perfect for smaller homes.

Reliability and efficiency were in mind when Biasi put together their Advance OV range, which you can see by the 92% efficiency level and ErP A rating for heating. The 18kW output is most suited to homes that don’t have an excessive demand for heating and hot water.

Should an 18kW unit not be suitable for your home, then the Advance OV range includes 15kW and 24kW models too. The 15kW output is perfect for smaller homes, with 1 bathroom, that has a low demand for heating and hot water, while the 24kW can meet the higher demands of homes with more than 1 bathroom. If a Regular boiler isn’t appropriate for your home then you’ll also be able to choose between System and Combi units too.

Biasi has made sure that the Advance OV range has plenty to offer, with one of the features including a single coil heat exchanger, that’s extremely robust and efficient. The single-coil oval sections allow system water to flow freely through the heat exchanger, preventing the accumulation of dirt and debris. The Advance OV 18kW also features a built-in weather compensation, installing the optional inexpensive temperature probe too, will allow the boiler to automatically change with the temperature outside, helping to reduce your energy bills.

As a Regular boiler, the Advance OV 18kW heats your central heating system directly and also produces hot water to be stored in a cylinder. Because you need a hot water cylinder, which is often fed by a cold water storage cistern located in the loft, Regular boilers aren’t recommended for smaller properties where space is limited.

A lengthy warranty period of 5 years gives you the confidence that you’re well covered by Biasi long after the installation.

Biasi Advance OV 24kW Regular Gas Boiler

The Advance OV 24kW is a highly reliable condensing Regular gas boiler that has been designed and manufactured by Biasi and boasts many features and benefits.

Biasi has designed the Advance OV range of boilers to be compact in size and wall-mounted, helping to save space around your home.  In addition to the 24kW model, the Advance OV range of boilers also includes 15kW and 18kW units. So, if the heating and hot water demand for your home don’t require a unit as powerful as the 24kW model, then there are more suitable Advance OV boilers. The 15kW and 18kW units are perfect for smaller homes with 1 bathroom. If your home doesn’t have room for a Regular boiler, then Combi and System boilers are also available.

Installing an Advance OV boiler will help save you money on your energy bills thanks to its high-efficiency levels, made possible by some great features. An extremely robust and efficient single coil heat exchanger that allows the system water to flow freely through the heat exchanger, preventing the accumulation of dirt and debris, making the Advance OV a perfect choice for replacing a Regular boiler with a modern one and a built-in weather compensation with an optional, and inexpensive, temperature probe so that the boiler can automatically react to the weather outside.

As this is a Regular boiler, it heats the central heating system directly and also produces hot water for a cylinder. A hot water cylinder, often fed by a cold water storage cistern and a feed and expansion cistern located in the loft, it’s not suitable for smaller properties where space is limited.

The Advance Plus 7 is a condensing, wall-mounted, System gas-fired boiler that’s available in a compact size to help save space around your home.

Designed and manufactured by Biasi, this is a highly efficient boiler that has a seasonal heating efficiency of 92%, making it an ErP A-rated boiler. The output rating of 25kW means that this is the perfect unit for smaller homes with 1 bathroom that don’t have such a high demand for heating and hot water.

The Biasi Advance Plus range of boilers comes with plenty of choices to help you find the right unit for your home. Not only is there a range of outputs, including 25kW, 30kW and 35kW, you can also choose between a Combi, System or Regular boiler.  The Advance Plus 7 System boiler includes the same technology as the Advance Plus Combi range, but instead of producing instant hot water, it heats the domestic hot water via the internal heating exchanging coil within the cylinder. Biasi Advance Plus 7 35kW System Gas Boiler

The Advance Plus 7 35kW System condensing gas boiler from Biasi is a wall-mounted, compact unit that will help to save you space around the home.

The output rating of 35kW makes this a perfect boiler for larger homes with 2 or more bathrooms and high demand for heating and hot water. A seasonal efficiency rating of 92%, which makes this an ErP A-rated boiler, will mean that installing an Advance Plus 7 will help to save you money on your energy bills.

While this model is a System boiler, the Advance Plus range includes Combi and Regular boilers too. Plus, to help you find the most suitable heating system, multiple outputs are also available in addition to the 35kW model, including 25kW and 30kW. A 25kW boiler is best suited to smaller homes, with 1 bathroom, that has a fairly low demand for heating and hot water. Meanwhile, a 30kW boiler would be ideal in a medium-sized home that doesn’t have such an excessive need for heating and hot water.

Advance Plus 7 System boilers are designed with the same technology as the Advance Plus Combi boilers, but instead of producing instant hot water, it heats the domestic hot water via the internal heat exchanging coil within the cylinder. This unit is easy to use a boiler that will help you gives you maximum control, as it features up/down button to control to adjust the heating temperature, built-in frost protection for reliability during the winter months and a built-in component anti-seizure routine that stops the components seizing during periods of inactivity, like the summer.

With this being a System boiler, it directly heats the central heating system and domestic hot water, the latter being stored in a hot water cylinder. To make installation easier, most of the important parts of the hot water and heating systems, such as the pump and expansion vessel, are built into the unit itself, which will also deliver a faster response to demand for heating and hot water.

Advance Plus 7 boilers come with a manufacturer warranty of 7 years, giving you complete confidence that you’re well covered after the installation.

BUYING GUIDE- Biasi Boilers

Given below is a detailed guide on Biasi Boilers:

Biasi Boiler Range

You must employ expert advice for choosing and installing your boiler to ensure compatibility with the existing pipework and heating system.

Biasi System Boilers Prices – More Taps = System Boiler

Biasi system boilers are designed for larger homes with higher hot water demand. Like the combi range, Biasi system boilers are packed full of advanced technological features.

You have the Biasi Inovia System ERP one of their most innovative domestic heating boilers. This boiler comes with a state-of-the-art display unit along with anti-freeze and anti-seizure technology. Built with a Quad-core “fault-finding” processor this boiler typical price tag is £610.00 with VAT but without installation charges.

The Advanced Plus System ERP also comes packed full of tech. It features the self-rectifying quad-core processor, anti-frost and anti-seizure and has an average price tag of £515.

Lastly, there is the Riva Plus System ERP boiler. This efficient and affordable boiler comes with built-in frost protection, self-diagnostics, anti-seizure technology and has an average price tag of just £496.00 with VAT but without the installation costs.

In terms of warranties, Biasi system boilers range between 2 and five years and these highly efficient boilers range from 16KW to 30KW.

Biasi Combi Boilers Price Range – Highly Efficient Domestic Boilers

Biasi combi boilers are compact and affordable and as with all Biaisi products, the combi boiler range come stacked with advanced technology features.

Biasi combi boiler features include anti-freeze and anti-seizure technology to ensure you boiler functions in winter or after a period of inactivity. Their combi boilers also come with self-rectifying technology, a feature which will keep your boiler functioning regardless that a fault has occurred.

In terms of pricing, the Biasi combi boiler varies dependent on size. You have the compact and advanced Biasi Inovia Combi ERP with an average price tag of £634.00. You then have the Advance Plus Combi ERP, with an average price of £499.00. The Riva Plus Combi ERP comes with an average price tag of £496.00 including VAT but with the installation cost.

In terms of warranties, Biasi combi boilers range between 2 and five years and these highly efficient boilers range from 24KW to 35KW.

Biasi System Boiler Prices Range Between £450.00 and £695.00 and They Provide Plenty of Hot Water to Multiple Taps

Biasi system boilers are best suited to larger homes with multiple bathrooms because they can provide an even supply of hot water to all taps, showers and baths at the same time. Having said that, low and high output options from 16kW to 30kW are available to suit different households. Whilst system boilers do not require a cold water tank in the loft, they must be installed alongside a cylinder for storing hot water.

Some Biasi system models, such as the Advance SystemAdvance Plus 7 System and Inovia System ERP, feature built-in weather compensation to maximise energy savings and improve end-user comfort. The majority of the boilers including the Riva Plus System ERP and Advance Plus System ERP also come with anti-seizing technology to prevent the components from seizing during periods of inactivity.

The amount you will need to spend on a Biasi system boiler will depend on which model and output you require, with prices starting from £450.00 and reaching £695.00. Biasi also offers varying warranties on different system models, ranging between 2 and 7 years.

Biasi Combi Boiler Prices Range Between £642 and £684 and are Compact and Environmentally Friendly

Like all combination boilers, Biasi combi boilers do not require a separate cold water tank or hot water storage cylinder to heat radiators and supply plenty of hot water to taps, making them ideal for properties with limited storage space. The range currently includes four combi models that come in sizes from 24kW to 35kW. Each model features user-friendly controls and built-in frost protection.

The Riva Plus Combi ERP has the largest measurements and is the only model in the range to come with a 24-hour digital programmer that enables you to customise your heating on and off times. If you prefer to keep your boiler in a kitchen cupboard or a tight area within your home, you might be better off with the smaller Advance CombiAdvance Plus 7 Combi or Inovia Combi ERP.

All Biasi combi boilers feature advanced technology and provide improved energy efficiency and lower NOx emissions. This means that these boilers can not only help to save you money and make your home more efficient but also reduce your carbon footprint. Prices typically start at £642 and go up to £684, and boiler warranties range between 2 and 7 years depending on the required model.

About Biasi

Established in the 1940s, Biasi started as a small residential boiler manufacturer in Italy and went on to add gas boilers to its portfolio in the 1980s. In 1990, Biasi UK Ltd was formed, enabling consumers throughout the United Kingdom to get their hands on the brand’s range of domestic heating solutions. In addition to boilers, Biasi also offers central heating radiators, towel rails and LST (low service temperature) radiators to attract more customers in the UK.

Biasi serves 40 markets across the world and has a production facility that is located in Pordenone, Italy that is ISO: 9001 and ISO:14001 accredited. All boilers are rigorously tested at this facility to ensure the company’s high standards for quality are always met and each product fully complies with current regulations.

What Do Industry Experts Have To Say?

Biasi UK was formed in 1990 and distributes boilers throughout the UK.  It promises to bring over 74 years of manufacturing experience and prides itself on a reputation for quality, reliability and performance.

Looking for the right boiler for your home?

A Combination boiler, also known as a combi, incorporates a high-efficiency water heater with a central heating boiler in one compact unit, so there’s no need for a separate hot water cylinder, which saves space and keeps installation costs down. Consideration should be made when choosing a combi on how many people would be using hot water at one time. No matter what make you choose, any combi without stored water will struggle to achieve good flow rates when two or more taps are being run at the same time. In these instances, we would recommend using our system boiler linked to an unvented cylinder.

The Bigger the Better

The high output boilers are designed to deliver as much hot water as possible but we understand this amount of power is not required for the heating system. That’s why all Biasi Boilers can be range rated to suit your system, so a 35kw combi can give you 15.6Ltr/min of hot water but have the heating set to as low as 9.2kw meaning your heating will remain working efficiently.

The Best of Both Worlds

Biasi combi boilers can be linked with an unvented cylinder, so if you are looking for flexibility, why not let the combi run your everyday shower and have the back up of stored water, which can be turned on when required for guest bathrooms or returning teenagers!

It is early days of having the boiler but I am very impressed with certain parts of it already it is extremely quiet to the extent that you keep checking to make sure it is working the hot water is extremely hot so hopefully it will power the shower the price was very competitive if I had to criticize something it would just be the size of it but for me it’s in the utility room so no problem.

FAQs:

How does frost protection work?

  • When the boiler senses a temperature drop to below 5 degrees it will fire up and warm itself up, this will continue until the temperature rises. Should there be a disruption to the gas supply the boiler will run the pump only in an effort to stop the water freezing within the boiler.

Are your boilers EST approved?

What does anti-seizure routine mean?

  • After a period of 24 hours of inactivity, our boilers energise the pump and otorized diverter within the boiler, to ensure they don’t seize. Dirt and debris within heating systems can settle in these areas, so it’s important to protect these moving parts.

How many rads can you run off your boiler?

  • This question arises quite often and is not an easy question to answer. Radiators have outputs ranging from a couple of hundred watts to multiple kilowatts. A boiler with 30kw output to the heating system can supply 30 1kw output radiators. The correct way to solve this question is to calculate the total output for the radiators in the property and then source a boiler of sufficient size to comfortably support the heat output requirements. If you are having a system designed from new then your heating engineer can help source the correct radiators and boiler to ensure the correct comfort levels are achieved in each room of your home.

Should I drain down my boiler while I’m away from home for long periods?

  • We would not recommend this, leaving a heating system empty for long periods will allow rust within the radiators to build up and cause components within the boiler to seize. You would also then have to refill the system upon return and ensure you have the correct amount of quality inhibitor and protector within the system. Leaving our boilers on standby will allow the boiler to look after the system for you.

Why do some manufacturers use different temperatures when talking about their flow rate?

  • All boilers are tested at given flow rates, when we say our flow rate is based on 35 degrees elsius rise, we are stating the cold water temperature will be raised by 35 degrees elsius. Others use 25 degrees elsius to try to achieve a better flow rate because the lower temperature of the water allows more water to flow through the heat exchanger. This improves the flow rate on paper but during the winter months when the water coming out of the ground is 2 or 3 degrees elsius your hot water will not be hot enough.

Why does the pump continue after the combi boiler has stopped?

  • The boiler has a pump overrun facility that ensures any latent heat within the boilers heat exchanger is moved into the heating circuit.

Can your boilers be range rated?

  • Yes, all Biasi boilers can be range rated on the heating output. On the Inovia and Advance Plus boilers you also have the option in the software to range rate the maximum flow temperature.

Can I use an external programmer with your boilers?

  • The Inovia and Advance Plus can both use 230 volt and volt free switching external controls. This will facilitate a range of old, right through to the latest RF type external devices. For guidance on the connection of any such device please feel free to contact our service and technical staff on 01922714636.

I live in an off-grid property, can your boilers be operated on LPG?

  • Yes, all Biasi boilers are LPG I and all have LPG conversion kits available.

I need to run my pipes behind the boiler, is it possible with your range?

  • All Biasi boiler ranges have available a rear pipe hiding kit known as a standoff kit or standoff bracket. This accessory allows the pipework to be taken up directly behind the boiler.

I’m looking to use advanced controls and weather compensation on my system, is that possible?

  • The Advance Plus and Inovia range of combination boilers both have a two stage weather compensation system available and an advanced function modulating room thermostat. First stage is the addition of the outside air temperature sensor which will facilitate basic weather compensation. The second stage is the addition of the Biasi Stat which will then allow full self learning and self compensation weather slope adjustment.

I have low pressure in my area, will your boiler work ok on this?

  • Yes our boilers can operate on low pressure. Although we would always recommend a primary system pressure of between 1 and 1.5bar when cold, the boiler will operate once the system is above 0.3bar. The domestic hot water will operate as low as 2.5 L/min at 0.3 bar.

Do I need compartment ventilation?

  • All current Biasi boilers are compartment ventilation free, for older models please refer to either the manufacturer’s instructions for that boiler or contact the Biasi service and technical office on 01922714636 or service@biasi.uk.com for guidance.

Where can I find the serial number?

  • On the Riva range of boilers, the serial number can be found on the drop-down flap. For Inovia and Advance Plus there is a small grey sticker in the front of the boiler. The serial number starts with N and the last four digits represent the month and year the boiler was produced.

How long do Biasi keep spare parts available for their boilers?

  • The industry standard is 8 years but we still hold spares for 12 years and beyond.

Why do I need to have my boiler serviced to maintain the warranty?

  • Every boiler manufacturer will insist the boiler is serviced annually in order to maintain your warranty. Just like a car, if you run the boiler when its not been tuned properly you risk putting it under stress. With anything electrical or mechanical, stress will reduce the life of the boiler. Small issues soon become big issues and can often lead to large repair bills, likewise the efficiencies could also be affected meaning you waste energy and money. Most important to Biasi is safety. By having a regular inspection, you will have peace of mind knowing your boiler is working safely and efficiently.

My Boiler has a spanner symbol showing, why is that?

  • The spanner symbol will appear in isolation when your boiler is due for a service. If you have recently had your boiler serviced and the engineer has not reset the spanner please contact our service and technical department who will talk you through what to do next.

My Boiler keeps losing pressure, why is this?

  • If you are having to top up the pressure on your system on a regular basis, there is something wrong with the system and we would recommend calling a heating engineer to see if they can identify the issue.

DID YOU KNOW?

  • How old is my Biasi boiler? You can usually find your Biasi boiler serial number on the drop-down panel or inside the front casing. The serial number usually begins with the letter N and followed by nine digits. The last four digits of the serial number are the month and year of manufacturing.

https://www.invictusboilergrants.co.uk/blog/how-old-is-my-boiler

  • Every Biasi boiler is made at the company’s state-of-the-art production centre in Italy and is fully tested before making the journey to the UK distribution hub, and then on to customers’ homes. Biasi boilers combine a high efficiency water heater with a central heating boiler into a single compact unit.

https://www.boilerguide.co.uk/manufacturers/biasi

  • From a safety point of view, your boiler won’t ignite if: The fan isn’t operational, this takes flue gases from your property. There is a burner problem, such as a blocked jet, or debris build-up. The gas supply is intermittent (sign of incorrect gas valve adjustment, or a faulty gas valve)
  • If you use radiators, open the bleed valves on the highest placed radiators in your home when you can no longer hear water exiting the boiler. Allow water to drain from them, then open the valve on the radiator nearest to the boiler. When the sound of flowing water stops, your system can be refilled.

https://www.hunker.com/13415637/how-to-drain-refill-a-closed-hot-water-boiler

  • Is Your Boiler Losing Pressure But No Leak? 99% of the time, a boiler losing pressure is a leak. It’s as simple as that. Unless the dial sits at 0 even when topped up (which could be a sign of a faulty pressure gauge), there’s a leak somewhere – even if you can’t see it in the boiler or overall heating system.

Conclusion:

If you’re tempted to buy a Biasi boiler and have discussed the most suitable options for your home with a qualified engineer, you’ll need to start getting quotes on both the boiler and installation. We suggest you always obtain at least three quotes so that you can compare prices and get the very best deal. Don’t forget to ask for a fixed price on the boiler and fitting work to protect yourself from any hidden fees.

Once you’ve decided on which Biasi boiler you’d like to purchase, you’ll need to choose a Gas Safe engineer to carry out the installation. However, not all Gas Safe registered engineers are qualified to fit gas boilers, so you must take a look at their ID cards before allowing them into your home. When viewing the front of a Gas Safe ID card, check the license number, security hologram, start and expiry dates, and the engineer’s photo. Then, check the back of the card to see if the engineer is legally allowed to work on gas boilers. You can also run a search at the official Gas Safe Register website to confirm the qualifications and registration status of a business or engineer.
