We know that buying a new boiler can be a daunting and confusing task. Sometimes there are some errors or faults that cause problems using boilers easily. If you have a Worcester Bosch Boiler installed in your home, it is a good idea to be aware of some of the common problems they have experienced. There are various types of error or fault codes. Due to these errors, you can notice leaking boiler, banging noises, Boiler lockout, Overheating boiler, No power, No hot water or low Boiler Pressure, and various other issues. When this happens, your boiler might go into what’s called a ‘lockout mode’ which is a safety feature that prompts the boiler to shut down when it develops a fault.
When the system is cool, the pressure gauge on a Worcester boiler should be between 1 – 1.5 (in the green section). 2. LEAKING BOILER

3. BANGING NOISES

4. BOILER LOCKOUT
Worcester boilers with error 227 codes mean the unit has locked out as a safety precaution. This shuts down its operation to prevent any further damage from being caused. There can be any number of reasons for this to happen, from blocked flues to high or low boiler pressure.
5. BLOCKED CONDENSATE PIPES
Worcester Bosch boilers feature a condensing pipe, which vents harmful gases away from your property. Owners do sometimes experience a blocked condensate pipe during the colder months of the year, but this can be easily fixed with warm water.
6. OVERHEATING BOILER
Your Worcester boiler could overheat because of a faulty pump or fan, a blocked condensate pipe, or excessive limescale on the heat exchanger. The cause can be quickly identified and resolved very easily by an experienced engineer.
7. NO POWER
If the boiler has lost all power it could be because of many reasons whether it can be a faulty electronic control board, a tripped spur socket, or a residual current device (RCD). It can differ in certain cases and may be costly for a new installation.
8. NO HOT WATER
Worcester boiler problems with no hot water is a common problem and one that could be caused by several different things. 9. RADIATORS NOT HEATING UP

10. BOILER TURNS OFF ITSELF

WHAT YOU WILL SEE ON THE BOILER DISPLAY
AN ALPHANUMERIC FAULT CODE WILL APPEAR TO INDICATE THE FAULT GROUP (SEE TABLE BELOW).
YOUR BOILER WILL FLASH A WARNING TRIANGLE AND FAULT CODE, AS WELL AS A STATIC CAUSE CODE. ONCE THE FAULT IS FIXED, YOU CAN PRESS THE RESET BUTTON ON YOUR BOILER TO CLEAR THE FAULT CODE.
NO FAULT CODE WILL APPEAR, EVEN THOUGH YOUR BOILER WILL STOP OPERATING. TO ACCESS THE INFO MENU TO FIND THE CAUSE CODE, PRESS THE SPANNER/RETURN BUTTON. THE ERROR WILL AUTOMATICALLY RESOLVE ONCE THE FAULT HAS BEEN CLEARED. FOR EXAMPLE, IF THE BOILER IS WAITING FOR AN AREA TO COOL DOWN, THE ERROR WILL DISAPPEAR ONCE THAT AREA IS COOL.
A CAUSE ERROR CODE IS A THREE DIGIT NUMBER THAT MUST BE ACCESSED VIA THE INFO MENU, WHICH CAN BE DONE BY PRESSING THE SPANNER/RETURN BUTTON.
MAINTENANCE CODES START WITH THE LETTER H FOLLOWED BY A NUMBER. ALTHOUGH THE CODE IS TELLING YOU THAT A QUALIFIED ENGINEER IS REQUIRED, A MAINTENANCE CODE THAT HAS APPEARED ON THE DISPLAY WILL NOT STOP YOUR BOILER FROM WORKING.
Worcester Bosch Boilers have developed different error codes or fault codes to help you out with any kind of problem you are facing with your boiler.
