Customer reviews:

  1. Name of the customer– Peter Brooks

Rating– 5 out of 5 stars

Feedback– Quiet, Efficient, Reliable.

Detail- We had the Veissman Boiler fitted in March just as the Covid lockdown was being implemented. It came a bit earlier than planned as I suspect a number of customers had canceled their installation due to Covid.
Yorkshire Boilers, the installers were well briefed and prepared for the installation and carried out their work in a covid safe manner. The boiler had to be installed in a different place than planned but all the work was carried out to a high standard.
A few water pressure problems at the start were dealt with promptly and we have had no problems since then.
To date, the boiler has proved to be very quiet and faultless in operation. Too early to say whether it is saving gas but as it is a condensing boiler we are hopefully reducing the impact on the environment.
Overall a very positive experience.

Feedback– We need to replace a very old boiler…

Detail- We needed to replace a very old boiler in an old rambling house where we should have installed a pressurised system due to the size of the property and the number of bathrooms. For a number of reasons we chose a Viessmann combi boiler and, so far, our decision has been a good one.

The boiler copes with the heating, 14 large radiators, and 2 baths and 2 showers with no issues. Obviously, it’s too early to talk about running costs as we are hardly into winter but so far the bills have been well below our expectations. Overall we are extremely happy with ‘big boy’ as we call him. Of course, it could be a girl we don’t know but I think it’s hard to offend a boiler.

Feedback- After many years of service my old gas…

Detail– After many years of service my old gas boiler gave up on us after searching around for a replacement we were recommended an internet company (Heatable) they have several different types but they said they thought a Viessmann would be a good idea for the size of my house so I chose the Viessmann to have installed from the moment it was switched on until now it has worked perfectly it was and still is the best choice I could have made.

Q) When is the right time to replace my heating system?

A) Knowing when to arrange heating system replacement isn’t always easy, but there are a number of signs that suggest it’s time to make a change.

The occasional heating system breakdown may not warrant a replacement, but if your system needs to be repaired on a frequent basis, it could be time to get a new solution. Also, if your heating system is old and you find it difficult and expensive to source replacement parts for it, it’s worth considering making the switch to something new.

It may also make sense to get a replacement if your current heating system isn’t working as well as it used to, or if it no longer meets the needs of your household. In addition, you may benefit from getting a new solution if your current system is proving inefficient and therefore costly to run.

Q) Which heating system is best for my home?

A) Deciding it’s time for heating replacement is one thing, but how do you know which system is right for your home? With so many solutions available, it pays to do your research – and you may wish to take expert advice to help you find a system that matches your priorities and the specific heating and hot water needs of your household.

Q) How long will it take to install a new heating system?

A) The length of time it takes to install your new heating system will depend on a range of factors, including the type of system you choose and how complex the fitting is likely to be. For example, if you’re replacing a boiler on a like-for-like basis in the same location in your home, the installation should take no longer than a day. However, if new pipework is required, you’re having your heating system power flushed or you’re changing the location of your boiler, you can expect fitting to take between one and three days.

If you’re having an entirely new type of system installed, installation is also likely to take longer. For instance, if you choose to have a heat pump system fitted, installation could take between three and five days.

Ask your heating engineer to provide you with a clear timescale for the work when you arrange the installation. This will ensure that you know what to expect.

Q) What does a boiler service include?

A) A boiler service is carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer and it includes a full inspection of boiler components. Your engineer will remove the casing of the appliance and check everything from the main injector, spark probe and burner to the heat exchanger, electrical connections and controls. They will also look at the seals, pipework and combustion releases, and make sure your appliance is functioning at the right pressure.

Your engineer will replace damaged or worn parts as required too and clean components as necessary to help ensure your boiler is operating as efficiently and effectively as possible.

Q) Is a gas safety check different to a boiler service?

A) A gas safety check is different to a service, but the two things can be done together. A gas safety check includes all the tests and checks required to make sure your boiler is safe to use. This means ensuring that the appliance is physically stable, the gas is burning as it should and any chimneys or flues are working correctly. It’s important to be aware that this check doesn’t help to maintain the reliability and performance of your appliance.

Real World Use Case:

by Dudley Jones

Viessmann to the rescue after boiler problems.
The fitting of a new Viessmann gas boiler by RBHM had been a nightmare. I’ll spare you the details but one of my many problems was their failure to leave me with the Benchmark commissioning sheet which apparently is essential to obtain the Viessmann 10-year warranty. Eventually, I rang Viessmann and spoke to Suellen. She was in Finance (I couldn’t get through to anyone in Customer Service) but she didn’t fob me off, she listened patiently to my tale of woe. She was encouraging, assuring me that Viessmann would help me out: she would speak to a supervisor and they would get back to me probably the following day because by this time it was close to 5pm. I can’t praise her customer service too highly, it was exemplary.

Then – about an hour later – I got a follow up call from Ian, a Sales Director. He reassured me, he was confident Viessmann would waive the Benchmark commissioning document and honour the 10-year warranty. Given my problems with the MD of RBHM, this provided me with the peace of mind I wanted. Amazingly, Ian sent me an email later that same evening to confirm he would get this sorted and I got another 2 emails the following morning to say it had all been agreed. What impressed me about Suellen’s and Ian’s customer service response was that they were not only true to their word and got things done but they were so sympathetic and understanding. This is in marked contrast to a number of people recently who have tried to cheat and deceive me – and that includes lawyers and Tribunal judges! My faith in human nature was restored and I’m now a firm fan of Viessmann.

In order to have a comfortable and cosy winter experience we need warmth in our houses. The biggest question which comes into mind when looking for this is how? The answer to that is a good boiler system to be installed in the house. Boilers not only provide an excellent central heating system but also fulfills the hot water needs. So next time the winter arrives don’t forget to get a boiler for you house as well!
